Possible relations in Clark County [27 January 2022]
Capt. James Gay MQKG-Z3W (1758-1840) who lived in Clark Co. had two sons that could be potential fathers for Nancy:
- John Gay KVV4-ZGW (1792-1872) married Lucinda Pendleton 1811 in Bourbon, KY. They had 6 children (Elizabeth, James, Mary Polly, William Theodore, John Dunlay and Curtis Pendleton)before Lucinda died in 1830 and he remarried to Rebecca Bratton on 4 Aug 1830 in Winchester, Clark, KY, and had 7 more children
- James LL4B-4ZS (1794-1857) who also lived in Clark Co., but he didn't marry Ann Cartmell until 30 Oct 1821, so they would have been too young to be Nancy's parents. Teir children were James C., Sally Patton, Elizabeth, Eliza, Asa, and Eliza

Benjamin Patterson Gay KCWB-KH9 (1790-) who married Polly Anderson 23 Oct 1816 in Clark, Kentucky had six children - looks like not enough of a gap in years for Nancy to be his daughter
