Sarah Moore and sister Minerva Moore are the children of Henry Moore and Mary "Polly" Unknown. In the 1810 Pulaski Co., KY Federal Census, Henry and Polly Moore have three daughters, two daughters are not accounted for on ancestry.com. Henry Moore had three sons Pleasant Moore, James G. Moore, and John Moore (Peggy Aldridge, marriage ended in divorce, no children & Manerva Heard). James G. Moore had two sons Archibald Moore and Cartwright Moore. Sarah Moore Willis also named a son Archibald Moore. Minerva Moore Willis' daughter Mary Willis gave birth to her daughter Minerva Cartwright abt 1852 and James's son Cartwright Moore was born in 1853.

The maiden name of Henry Moore's wife is in dispute.
