Which regiment did Michael Crum serve in? We're trying to mark all of the Civil War veterans here on WeRelate. Thanks! --Amy (Ajcrow) 12:12, 18 September 2011 (EDT)

Michael Crum (1832-1904) served in Company F in the 82nd Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The information that I have is that he was attached to the 2nd Brigade of the 3rd Division of the 2nd Corp. However, today I was informed by Gettysburg Park personnel that the division was the 11th - not the 2nd.

Michael was wounded on the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg.

A monument for the 82nd OVI is located on Barlow's Knoll.
