Removed alternate name [2 July 2009]

I removed "or Maria" from name. I did not add it as an alternate name because I do not know its basis and it is potentially a source of confusion.

Mercy had a sister named Mary. Maria is usually a Latinized form of Mary, sometimes used by ministers who might have known Latin. But Mercy's birth record and marriage record both clearly say Mercy, not Maria, nor Mary. Because of the danger of confusion with her sister, which is to be avoided, it is important that the primary source calling her Maria should be provided if Maria is to be listed. --Jrich 18:26, 2 July 2009 (EDT)
