Person talk:Mary Pettingill (1)

death date [25 November 2013]

The death date of "bef 3 Mar 1698" apparently originates indirectly from the Newbury VR that says Mary died 3 Mar 1697/98. It is not clear why the "bef" was added, but what is clear is that the death record refers to a different Mary, since it explicitly says "d. Nathaniell". So it does not apply. It seems very likely the birth date is wrong too, since according to the Pettingell Genealogy, p. 10, Mary, d. Matthew, m. Daniel Lunt 1719-20 and Newbury records shows they proceeded to have several children, unlikely for a woman of 40. Since their first son was named Matthew, in 1720, it seems possible the Pettingell Genealogy is right? --Jrich 04:00, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
