Irrelevant sources [30 May 2009]
I hate removing sources, but several listed here seemed irrelevant. In the interests of clarity, it seemed best to remove them.
- NEHGR 52:52-3 has an article "Ancestry of Phebe Pierce of Woburn", granddaughter to Mary Peirce and Ralph Reed, but it did not mention Mary at all.
- An IGI reference. There were 189 records for Mary Pierce, and the ones I sampled were all submitted by LDS members. You could choose your favorite birthdate from 1633 to 1663 with many choices inbetween, so without more detail, the citation was worthless. If a specific IGI record was cited, that came from primary sources such as Watertown church records etc., as opposed to being submitted by some unknown LDS members, then it would be very useful.
- I edited the Savage citation to just give just the information on Mary's father Anthony, removing the cut and paste sections on her grandfather and her uncle which did not seem to need to be here. I am not sure even Anthony's info is all that relevant, but at least Mary is mentioned there.
- I removed the citation of the Watertown birth record for the first Mary Pierce in 1633 whom sources seem to agree died in infancy (though the basis for this is unknown to me at this time). It is still cited on the page of that Mary, and does not apply to this Mary who was putatively b. 1636, unless somebody can show they are the same person.
