Need sources [5 June 2019]

"Massachusetts Births and Christenings, 1639-1915" for a film that is a filming of the published vital records is not very desirable. It is much more straightforward to cite the vital records themselves, and looking at the vital records offers less chance of error since the familysearch index basically is another copy further away from the originals. Not to mention that they are freely available on the Internet, so why bother with a copy? Perhaps minimal in this case because it is a printed source, not subject to many misinterpretations, but far more critical when the film cited is a handwritten document and colonial handwriting is interpreted by some volunteer to create the familysearch index.

Inputting a death date with no marriage specified should always have a source supplied, even more so than normal. It is a matter of courtesy.

No source for the death of a Mary in 1716 in Taunton of any surname can be found. None of the sources investigated show any marriage for Mary. Something is wrong here. Please provide sources or erase it. --Jrich 13:24, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

P.S. Dates should be entered with 3 letter abbreviations. --Jrich 13:25, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
