Marriage [10 July 2016]

I am removing the unsourced marriage to Nathaniel Holman on 22 AUG 1733. I cannot find any record of it, though I find baptisms of their children in Gloucester VRs, p. 264-266. Given the birth of their last child in 1750, one might suspect Nathaniel's wife was younger than this Mary.

At least two reasonably respectable sources indicate that this Mary Houlton married in 1725 Ebenezer Procter: Essex Genealogist, Vol. 7, p. 22, and Perley's History of Salem, Vol. 2, p. 300. I have found no secondary sources covering Nathaniel Holman.

I would prefer not just to support the one case, but to refute the other case, but as I cannot find the basis for the other case, I cannot in this case. So as often happens with unsourced data, being unable to verify it, and doubting it, so I can only assume it is wrong. --Jrich 16:01, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

It turns out there are several deeds where Ebenezer Procter and wife Mary join in selling property they inherited when Mary's brother James Houlton died childless, making that identification provable. See Essex Deeds Vol. 58, folio 44, Vol. 62, folio 131, Vol. 64, folio 224, etc. --Jrich 17:14, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
