[add comment] [edit] [17 September 2020]Please note the following entries from Ancestry that do not exactly tally with your entries: Reg'n district: Preston; Sub-reg'n district: Township of Preston; Enum Dist: 14, in England. General Register Office. The National Archives (abbreviated TNA): 1841 Census Schedules for England and Wales, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. (Kew, Richmond, Greater London TW9 4DU, United Kingdom)
Church of St. Mary the Virgin at Eccleston, Lancashire, in Lancashire Archives. Lancashire, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1911. (Preston, England)
8th May 1825, Mary, 2nd daughter of Thomas and Margaret Eastham, Abode: Heskin, father's occ'n: carpenter, signed Thomas Marshall, curate If you took Mary's age from the census, it could easily be wrong. People of more than 15 years of age had their ages rounded down to the nearest 5. But location-wise the baptism is a problem. Eccleston and Heskin are west of Chorley and southwest of Preston. Have you proof that she was born at Thornley? --Goldenoldie 18:49, 17 September 2020 (UTC) |
