Joseph was interviewed by the reporter and the following articleappeared.]Margaret Caldwell, the first child of Joseph and Mary Bennett Caldwell, was born 30 September 1805,presumably in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Her father, Joseph Caldwell, as a youngsingle man moved onto a piece of property in Mercer County in August 1798. 1 Joseph, along with the family of Benjamin Bennett (Bennit), is listed in Mercer County in the 1800 US Census. 2

We assume that Margaret’smother, Mary Bennett, was living in the household of Benjamin Bennett; and this is how Margaret’s parents came to know each other and eventually marry about 1804--henk 03:17, 8 May 2013 (EDT)
