Given there is no marriage record, apparently, at least none returned by americanancestors.org, and various websites give the date as an estimate, some kind of proof would be needed to suggest the maiden name of his wife, such as mention of a will naming her, etc., etc. Searching the Internet for Eleazer Adams and Margaret Hayden yields one website that says he had an additional marriage to Lucy Hayden, also not found, but sufficient to suggest that the adding of "Margaret L" Hayden is some form of confusion, a conclusion that is allowed because no sources were posted. (Middle names uncommon prior to the Revolutionary War, and for women, uncommon even longer, as initially the mother's maiden name was given to sons.)
