age of Katharine Richardson [5 March 2019]

If Katharine was born around 1712, and died on 5 Apr 1714, why is she listed in court depositions as being 13?

Did you inspect the whole family? There is a second daughter named Katherine b. 1714/15 (here).
The bond is dated 24 Mar 1726, not 24 Apr 1726. Critical distinction, since the legal start of 1727 was 25 Mar 1727, the day following 24 Mar 1726 according to the colonial calendar. So this is probably 24 Mar 1726/27. A girl who is in her thirteenth year is age 12, hasn't had her thirteenth birthday. So born Feb 1714/15, she would turn 12 in Feb 1726/27 and still be 12 on 24 Mar 1726/27 the day this bond was posted. --Jrich 03:19, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
