There was a death notice published in the Los Angeles Times, Jun 5, 1929, Pg 24 for a "Scheltema, Jennie M., age 86, residence 495 Douglas St. Pasadene. Indicated she was the widow of Capt. Julius Theodore Scheltema and mother of Madam Murat. Services were held at the chapel of Turner and Stevens Co. Pasadena."

There were a number of articles of a Miss Julie/Julia Scheltema who was a musician who played the piano. she was also in an accident and filed suit against the Santa De Railroad and settled.

I only mention her as there was an article of a wedding (June 25, 1900, Pg I11) of a Carlo August Frederick Henry Murat age 62 and Prince of Napels to a Miss Juliet Scheltema age 23. As the obituary of Jennie M. Scheltema listed a daughter named Murat I thought this might in fact be her daughter.

Another article was about a firce at the house of Capt Scheltema caused by his wife while cooking.
