Census links [25 September 2017]

I was trying to cleanup the census citations and I am having a hard time figuring out which census entry you meant for 1810-1830.

For 1810, the last line on this page is indexed as Joseph Walser on both familysearch.org and heritagequest.com. There is a Joseph Walker in Litchfield, but your description seems to be pretty specific about Newport. I was confused because there are a bunch of young children in the household in Newport and Joseph at 19 is a little young to be the head of the household when his father is still alive.

For 1820, are you referring to the Thomas Walker line on this page? Otherwise I don't find a Joseph Walker in Newport as implied by the Record Name field. I only see one adult male (presumably Thomas) so how could Joseph be there? There is a Joseph Walker in Winfield, Herkimer County.

For 1830, I assumed you are referring to the Joseph Walker line on this page. I wasn't sure because the number of children didn't match, but once I found the 1850 Census showing him in Newport, I could understand how the match was made.

Can you please provide the correct links. Thank you. --Jrich 23:15, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Joseph Walker [8 October 2017]

Per your request: Reference: Find A Grave Memorial # 86335454 Joseph Walker was born 1790 died 1889 and is buried in the West Winfield cemetery, Herkimer County, New York. His spouse was Azubah Bartlett 1797-1880--Normiejac 00:36, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
It is not clear what this post refers to. The above question had to do with the three census records. On top of that, the Find a Grave page you cited had no gravestone image, so merely represents unsourced research of some anonymous person, and in this case, as often happens in such cases, it is wrong. Why? Because various census records of the Joseph Walker who had a wife Azubah was born about 1799, not 1790. For example, here is the 1855 census. Why do I use that one? Because the Joseph Walker b. 1791 is shown in a different entry of the same census with a wife Lucy, showing you are talking about a different person than this page and the above question refer to. --Jrich 01:17, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
