Person talk:Joseph Walker (100)

Joseph C Walker and Catherine McCorkle [11 November 2024]

Hello, my name is Tyler Walker, I am a descendant of Joseph C Walker and I reside in Missouri. Currently I am on a mission to either confirm or deny the parentage of Joseph C Walker that is of the Wigton Walker line. Deed information records John Walker as his father. Where I stand in all this is as follows: Tyler Walker, son of William Walker, son of LB Walker, son of William (Willie) Walker, son of Ellet Walker, son of Arthur Walker, son Of Joseph C. Walker, son of John Walker. Soon I will be taking a BigY700 test to hopefully add valuable information to this project. AI tools have been incredibly useful to search old documents that have not been transcribed. My father, passed in 2020, took a 37 marker test in 2018 from 23&me and I have access to this from my mother. The future of geneaological study has a very bright future. All that said, I am a novice at all this and will humbly submit to revisions of all information I submit to this page. Any information you may have as to sourcing Joseph’s father John as being John 'Gunstocker' (I have read his will) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.--Tyler Walker 18:31, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi Tyler and welcome to WeRelate. I am one of the volunteer administrators here, so you have probably seen some formatting and sourcing edits I have made to some of these pages over the last couple of days. We do this type of clean up editing now and then to standardize the data entered and to provide updated links to internal and external pages if needed. You are off to a good start on your pages of interest, and I'm sure that any information (especially source citations) you add will be greatly appreciated by future researchers. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about formatting or about using the site in general. I hope you will enjoy working here and will be able to make progress on your goals. Best Wishes, --cos1776 17:45, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
