I changed the primary spelling of his name to Ormsbee (and will rename the page as well), because the transcribed vital record of his birth implies that the name was spelled Ormsbee in the VR. It is hard, of course, to determine from the transcription if it was spelled Ormsbee in the original, or if the transcriber changed the spelling to the more commonly used spelling in a later century.

I changed the birth date from 26 Aug to 20 Aug (without giving 26 Aug as an alternate). Only one record in IGI gives the date as 26 Aug - the Ancestral File and all other IGI records (as well as the VR I cited) give 20 Aug. --DataAnalyst 22:48, 30 September 2010 (EDT)
