[add comment] [edit] Warton in Lancashire [23 September 2020]There are two towns named Warton in Lancashire. They are about 40 miles apart and both are near the Irish Sea and north of Liverpool and Manchester. The place identified as Warton (Fylde) is south of the one identified as Warton (Carnforth). I note you have contributed a number of generations of a Washington family from the medieval period. Sources for this period are sparse, but should be provided along with the tree. Following clues from Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warton,_Lancaster) I have assumed that all your references to Warton are for Warton (Carnforth). It is also the older of the two settlements.--Goldenoldie 10:40, 23 September 2020 (UTC) |
