THANK YOU to whoever worked on the information of John C. Rankin of Harrison City, Westmoreland County, PA. If you still get notifications for this site is there any way you can contact me? I descend from John's brother Chambers who died around the age of 30 in Bedford County, PA. Our family has been STUCK for many years because we cannot prove who Chambers parents were. (All the trees on Ancestry.com are wrong). Yours is the first things I've found that makes sense but I'm wondering how you were able to conclude the parents were David and Martha (Culbertson) Rankin? I'm going to keep digging until I can find more. The only thing we ever knew for sure is that Chambers brother was John C. Rankin and sister was Martha (Rankin) Bisel from Westmoreland County. I was about to give up all hope until I found this page. I'm just hoping someone will reach out to me about it. My name is Jessica.
