[add comment] [edit] non-useful source citations [8 April 2017]I am removing the source citation "Massachusetts, United States. Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620–1988: [database on-line]. (Provo, Utah, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2011)." because it is not specific and offers no aid in locating the record, such as where the information actually comes from. I tried to search for this record and failed. In fact I have searched americanancestors.org and familysearch.org vital records and only found the baptism of John on 2 Aug 1747, no birth record. This is not incompatible, but my guess is the above is simply an index of a NEGHR article (i.e., not an authentic record) that does give this date, and I am going to cite that article instead, meaning the birth date will show a secondary source with unknown basis instead of appearing to have a primary basis. Some people won't notice the difference; some, as I do, will. --Jrich 21:28, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
