It is not entirely clear that wid. Jackson is the same as John's wife. Susannah is b. 1689 and baptized 1695. So the question is what happened to Mary. She was born in 1691 and not baptized? If she was baptized close to her birth, why wasn't Susannah baptized then? If she waited until 1695, her baptism should have been listed, it being over a year after her birth. In 1732 VRs show a Wid Jackson died (her given name was Hannah).
Note also there is a Mary "Jaxson" b. 1682-3 to John and Sarah. --Jrich 15:55, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- Good points. I shouldn't have assumed that the 2 Susanna's were the same person, nor that there was only 1 Jackson family in Bradford - the widow's name Hannah did not fully register with me, maybe because it was in brackets. I was mostly trying to separate this family from the Virginia Jacksons, so I will just delete the uncertain pages.
- In terms of Mary Jaxson, I was not certain whether she was truly a separate person, or if there was an error in the transcription of birth year, since the day and month of her birth date are the same as the day and month of Mary Jackson, born 10 Jan 1690-1.
- He appears to be described in GDMNH, p. 371 (image 124 [1]). The writing is a little cryptic, and I need better knowledge of family to make sense of it. It appears to say, though I am not sure, that he was son of John whose 3rd wife was Hannah, possibly the wid. Hannah of Bradford? One thing it does say is that the daughter Sarah m. Ezra Rolfe though it does not explain how it arrived at that conclusion. Cites York Deeds 12:1:142 [2] to say the daughter Mary Jackson m. James Robinson; 11:235 to show when daughter Susanna Jackson m. Nathaniel Folsom [3]. So a little hunting found York Deed 8:250 [4] which proves the marriage to Ezra Rolfe. I will merge the two Sarahs, that being my point of entrance into the family, but will probably not do anything for the others. --Jrich 22:54, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
