Hi. I'm not sure if the John Eglinton in my family is the same one who served in the 79th NY infantry. One of my distant cousins thinks yes, but I don't know for sure. I would need to look at the pension file for the Civil War veteran. So, for now, I would assume that this John Eglinton did not serve in the US Civil War.--Krin5292 20:18, 6 May 2011 (EDT)
