I removed the title of "Major". I did not see it used in his death record, his marriage records, in the History of Lexington, or in the source cited. There was no description of any military service in those sources. I also removed "Jr." as his father was Matthew, and even his first marriage record did not refer to him as "Jr." and he seems to be the only John mentioned until his own son's birth and marriage are recorded in Lexington records. --Jrich 17:10, 3 June 2012 (EDT)
