 I believe Sophia Bentley was born in dutchess County NY.  He parents John Bentley and Mary Hance married there in March 1776 and Sophia was born 5 months after their marriage. 
John's notebook,  published in journal of NEGHS in 2018 states that after that they moved to Stillwater,  Saratoga County and Sophia then died in 1779, not yet 3 years old. 
  They had 8 children before Mary Hance died in 1793. Her maiden name was mistakenly thought to have been "Otis" (based on name of John's first child with 2nd wife Thankful Ballou. )
John's notebook finally cleared that up and confirmed Mary was actually 36 when she died but her badly eroded gravestone in Milton,  Saratoga County NY appears to say "3o" years!
John and thankful are my 3rd great grandparents through their son pardon Bentley and wife Charity Emighy. 
Pardon's death date is unknown but he died in Sandy creek,  Oswego County NY  sometime between charity's death in April 29, 1877 and the 1880 census mortality schedule. 
 Where they're buried is also unknown but based on my research I believe they're buried in Woodlawn cemetery in Sandy creek in unmarked Graves along side the family stone of Stephen Bentley and wife Diana Emighy.  Stephen and pardon were brothers as were their wives charity and Diana although no records exist.  Between the unmarked Graves are 6" square stone carved "B's" which to me indicate their connected to the Bentley monument. 
 Also missing is Mary Miller Emighy,  mother to charity and Diana who came to Sandy creek to live with Stephen and Diana in 1830 and died there in 1858.--Wiccantank 20:54, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
