[add comment] [edit] Conflicting marriages and families [28 February 2012]Was the same Joane Fush married both to Thomas Dewey of Kent and to Philip Randall of Dorsetshire, concurrently bearing children to both of these gentlemen, including children sired by each father in the same year? Would her purported son Thomas Dewey from the first of these unions have married her purported daughter Frances Randall? Bigamy and incest were illegal both in England and in the English colonies.--Jhamstra 13:49, 28 February 2012 (EST) |
