From Jeltje Kuypers (1): 1900 Census and Possible Match [13 June 2016]

"United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9NQ-NYX : accessed 7 June 2016), Jeltge Santweber in household of Lake Santweber, Manchester Township, Passaic, New Jersey, United States; citing sheet 1B, family 18, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 1,240,990.

There is a match for September, 1860; Jeltje Kuipers geboren op 14-09-1860 dochter van Jacob Kuipers en Sybrigje Stapert. Both Kuipers and Stapert are classic NJ emigrant Dutch names. --pkeegstra 01:39, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

It is not so easy to find if this Jeltje is the right one, but its starts to look good. Jacob Kuipers died in 1868 and Sybrigje ((Siebrigje) Stapert remaried in 1870 to Klaas Fijlstra. Klaas and Sybrigje had together 4 children. In 1881 a family Fijlstra emigrated to the USA ( the lived in Ulrum, prov. Groningen) Klaas Fijlstra an Sybrigje Stapert are buried in New Jersey ((Find A Grave) I am sharing this info in Werelte and searching on. --paulsnip 13:33, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

I've done a fair bit of work on Netherlands-Americans in 19th century New Jersey, and that is about as much evidence for a match as one can expect. We have a match for the month and day of birth, from a census entry in which the father also matches (so they didn't just make stuff up). We have a match for the Dutch name. And we have evidence that the woman did emigrate to New Jersey. Unless you object, I will go ahead and merge the two pages.
P.S. In case you don't see the changelog entry, FamilySearch is a repository. It has three New Jersey marriage sources, which should be distinguished; I believe all three of them in fact would be considered "secondary". --pkeegstra 10:53, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
Very interesting. My family have some very close family friends from NJ; her maiden name is Fylstra, descended from Barney Fijlstra. --pkeegstra 10:22, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

I made a Talk in the page for Person:Jeltje Kuipers (21) were is written who she can be.--paulsnip 18:23, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

I see that you found out that the Father of Bauke (Barney) is a Brother of Klaas Fijlstra. Nice. --paulsnip 14:02, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
The wife of Barney is Mary, born in Netherlands about 1867. I need to track her down. An Ancestry tree says she is Maartje Heerema born 1866 in Het Bildt. (Sometimes in New Jersey Netherlands-American genealogy that's the only hint you get.) --pkeegstra 10:42, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
There is a mariage in FamilySearch between Benke Fylstra and Maartje Heerema. (1 Jan 1891 in Paterson New Jersey. FamilySearch and a Emmigration reccord in Alle Friezen. The Family left 8-03-1841--paulsnip 19:10, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Incidentally, Maartje Heerema has a very well-developed WR tree, with contributions from quite a few WR members. --pkeegstra 10:49, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
And so everything is comming together--paulsnip 13:11, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
