Person talk:Jarrett Ingraham (1)

Is his birth date correct, and is there evidence for it? [15 January 2011]

A 1942 TAG article does not mention his birth date, but does mention that an Edward Ingraham (relationship unknown) immigrated in 1635. Could the stated birth date be mistakenly based on Edward's immigration date? Or is there evidence for the birth of Jarrett?--DataAnalyst 19:31, 15 January 2011 (EST)

If I read the history right, that date came in with the original GEDCOM from the original creator, with, of course, no sources, so we don't know where it came from. I haven't found a source for it or I'd have added it. It is not unreasonable, as the documented marriage in 1662 suggests born before 1641 in order to be of legal age and able to own land to make a living. His brother William married 1656 suggesting the brother's birth by 1635 or so, meaning the parents were probably married by that time so it was possible. --Jrich 20:24, 15 January 2011 (EST)
I just noticed that the birth date is exactly 27 years prior to the marriage date - I'd say it is fictional. The year is certainly reasonable, but I doubt the exact date is known. I will change it to an estimated year.--DataAnalyst 22:14, 15 January 2011 (EST)
