The combination of Jan Joosten van Meteren with the family van Cuyck van Meteren is absolutely doubtable. The name Jan Joosten means in the Dutch usage Jan son of Joost (not son of Melchior), and van Meteren means he is from Meteren (a village just north of the Tielerwaard) but does not at all prove that he is a member of the family van Cuyck van Meteren.--Klaas (Ekjansen) 16:15, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
