Birth before parents' marriage verified 29 Jun 2023 by DataAnalyst. Comments left by DataAnalyst: The marriage date of his parents is confirmed by their marriage certificate (image available in an Ancestry Public Tree). His birth date could be Dec 1857, as apparently has been previously assumed (and what he reported on the 1900 census), but his age in the 1860 census is 3, which is more consistent with a birth date of Dec 1856, which is apparently what his death certificate shows.
