[add comment] [edit] sources [24 December 2017]Currently (24 Dec 2017) this article cites Ancestry's "Millenial files", and Ancestry PMT's. Both sources simply reflect what people have in their genealogies. Their information might be right or might be wrong. The PMT's in particular are unreliable, as there are usually many variations on the dates, parents, spouses, places of birth death and marriage, etc, so most people citing them (or using them) simply pick one of many values available to them from that data base. Similar problem with the Millenial files. The information currently in place is very unlikely, and almost certainly unfounded. Note that while there were Englishmen in the New Netherlands in 1621, its pretty unlikely that James was among them at this date. There is no evidence that I've seen that his parents ever came to America. Hence James is unlikely to have been born here. A reasonable indirect source for information about James and Rebecca is Terry Mason's web site http://www.tmason1.com/pafc62.htm Terry points to his sources, but in a general sort of way. Most of his sources are themselves indirect, but most of this should be recoverable.
