In first line of main text the term "excepted" is used. I'm not sure what was meant. Is this a typo for "accepted" or "excerpted"?

I'm currently working on some of the related families, and will probably add in some additional information and sources.

The Pecks, Carpers, and Van Meters show a number of intermarriages. I'm working on the idea that all three families were living close to each other either in Frederick County VA, or in Frederick County Maryland from about 1760 to the start of the Revolution, then moved down together to Botetourt County.
