According to her death record, IJmkje Nammens Dijkman was born about 1778 and her parents were Nammen Klazes Dijkman and Aafke Coenraads.

Both statements cannot be correct. Indeed, it may be that neither statement is correct.

Nammen and Aafke married in 1785. If IJmkje were born 1785 or later, she would have been no older than 16 at her marriage in 1801. Age 16 at marriage is very uncommon, but is documented. I am familiar with at most one case of marriage younger than that. And there is no room for another child right after the wedding; Willem must have been conceived within days of the wedding. Which means IJmkje could not have been born until Dec 1786 at the earliest, with first Pijter born Dec 1787. (Also, the children of Nammen and Aafke seem to have been consistently baptized, and the records have survived, so it is curious that the one record does not exist.)

If we inquire whether IJmke was born from a previous marriage, we note that Nammen did have an earlier marriage, in 1780. Still not early enough to match the 1788 year of birth inferred from the death record. There is an earlier marriage in Ferwerderadeel, but that Nammen Klases must be a different person, as he and his wife Hijke Hindriks had children through both of the marriages of the other Nammen.

So there is insufficient information for a solid conclusion, but I would lean towards IJmkje having been born about 1782 of parents Nammen Klazes and Aaltje Fokkes.
