This Hannah Smalley has been identified by some as the Hannah Smalley that married Elisha Cole bef 1742 in Massachusetts, but this is NOT the case. This Hannah Smalley, born in 1730, would have been too young to have been married and had children in 1742 (at approximately age 12). This Hannah Smalley married Ezekial Hatch and their marriage and family has been well-documented by many prominent researchers and publications."

From Good Genealogical Writing by Elizabeth Shown Mills: Avoid cliches like the plague! (E.g., "well-documented by many prominent researchers and publications") So cite one that shows the daughter of Joseph married Ezekiel Hatch. My experience is that once evidence is on a page, it is rarely changed and big notes like this aren't needed any more. --Jrich 12:38, 18 January 2012 (EST)
