Birth date and parents [21 June 2012]

Hello KathieMT,

There was a Govert Scheffers born on 8 Jul 1839 in Vuren, Gelderland to Johannes Scheffers and Neeltje van Zomeren. On his arrival to the US in 1857, he is listed as 17 years old, which puts his birth date close to 1840. His birth certificate can be found here #29. --Jennifer (JBS66) 19:51, 21 June 2012 (EDT)
