We were wondering if you would be willing to help us solve some puzzles about a certain George De Beij (born in Drenthe)around 21 July 1848, immigrated to Illinois around 1868 and was a key figure in recruiting lots and lots of Dutch immigrants from around Warffum and Eenrum gemeentes in Groningen in the 1800s. Most of these immigrants came directly to Fulton,Illinois, 150 miles west of Chicago on the Mississippi River.--HenkCS 15:26, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

It appears from your information that the father of Bernardus DeBey is a Gerardus? And, our John G. DeBey has a middle name of Gerardus as I understand. So...any chance this John G. DeBey is a brother to the famous Rev. Bernardus DeBey? Again... MANY thanks! Regards, John Byker
