Hughes Family [7 August 2018]

I am working on establishing clear evidence, or as clear I can, that I am a descendant of William Hewes who is a Quaker from Somerset. If someone could help me figure out whether I am related to William or a Welshman names Rees, that would mean the world to me. Here is my line that I know for certain.

Joshua B. Hughes b. July 10, 1979 Odessa, Texas Kennith B. Hughes b. October 11, 1946 Roanoke, Va Harvey Hughes b. June 1, 1918 to John Harvey Hughes and Mollie Hale in Va. d. 2004 John Harvey Hughes b. June 22, 1871 to James H. Hughes and Sarah A. Dodd d. 1933. James Harvey b. 1839 to James Hughes and Mahala Phillips Brookman. Died in 1900. James Hughes. B. 1895 in Va to George Hughes and Margaret Johnston.

This is the part where things get difficult. I think that George was born to Thomas Hughes who was married to Nellie Foster. This Thomas who was killed in an Indian raid I believe to be the son of Edward Hughes and Elizabeth Grigsby. Some say his father was Edward and others Thomas. Some connect him with Rees while others with the Quakers out of PA. Any help with evidence would be amazing!
