[add comment] [edit] [27 October 2013]I am also looking for the parents and birthplace of Frederick BRIM who married Margaret MERRICK. They had a least one son, Clarence Vanness BRIM (who was b. 11 Dec 1810 and d. 20 Jul 1885). He married Margaret FARGUS 28 May 1843. They had at least one daughter, Emma Amelia BRIM (b. 16 Feb 1849, in Iowa, and d. 4 Apr 1918, in Idaho). She married John Wheeler HARRIS 22 Dec 1870. They are my great great grandparents. I have a copy of a picture that I believe is Emma Amelia, with 2 other women. It is a colorized black and white. ) [add comment] [edit] research notes [27 October 2013]http://donlong.net/genealogy/James%20Francis%20BRIM%20pedigree.pdf--henk 18:57, 27 October 2013 (UTC) http://www.familyorigins.com/users/n/i/c/Cherisse--Nicastro/FAMO2-0001/d135.htm [add comment] [edit] [28 October 2013]An ACT for the Relief qf Frederick Brim. The clues thus far are from the Holland Company Land Sale records for Cazenovia, Madison Co., New York. Frederick is also documented in the 1790, 1800, 1810 and 1820 US Census records. There is a story of the history of Cazenovia which described a "large Germanic man", name not known, who accompanied the Holland company survey team. Frederick was one of the original settlers of the area and appeared to be a man of some means as he purchased many plots of land in the Cazenovia area. When Frederick passed on, many of his family eventually became part of the Mormon Movement and can be seen in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. Margaret, died of Billous fever 25 Oct 1844, 76 years of age, her daughter Parmelia died in the same year. "Eunice" obituary Nauvoo Sexton Record pg:23. Her son Alfred Wallace Brim b: 15 Nov 1815 married Mary Anne Merrill daughter of Gillman Merrill and Rebeccah Severe [sic] Sevier. The youngest Brim in America that I can identify is Henry Brim b: 1753 of Maryland (Revolutionary Soldier) d: 1835 Pennsylvania. This man looks like a brother of my GGGG Grandfather Frederick. Frederick Brim of Casenovia named his first son Henry and from what I can recall the Holland Land comany set out from Maryland. Does anyone know where Frederick is buried or if he left a will ? --henk 11:01, 13 November 2013 (UTC) [add comment] [edit] [13 November 2013]https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1961-32539-6408-56?cc=2078654&wc=M9M4-83J:674515552--henk 18:43, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
