[add comment] [edit] Sources for censuses [4 July 2021]I have converted some of your census findings into formal sources. I did not check any with originals in Ancestry. Recently WeRelate has added a new feature: All sources can be copied from one person to another. This means that all census entries can easily be listed for each person in a family (husband, wife, children, other relatives and servants). I have done this for the 1901 census for Francis Western and his wife, but all the entries could be copied and pasted in the same way. Once you ask for an entry to be copied, the word "copied" comes up just above the Source. The second you start a Source on someone else's page, the word "paste" comes up. The whole entry will stay on your clipboard for all the people you need to copy it to. I have two copies of WeRelate working at the same time when I use this feature: (one with the person I am copying, and one for the people who are having the information pasted. Don't forget to save both pages when you are finished. The Personal Information part of a WeRelate entry does not support carriage returns. They must be put in by hand either by starting a new line with <br> or allowing a full line space between facts. If you start a line a space or two in from the margin, the line will be written in Courier (typewriter) font instead of the normal and all the tabs will show, whether you wanted them or not.--Goldenoldie 20:45, 4 July 2021 (UTC) |
