No death certificate record is to be found in the expected place.

The obituary was published on 9 Sep 1926, a Thursday. It says death was on Friday, which would have been the 3rd, but agrees with the cemetery records that the service [i.e. burial] was on Saturday, the 11th. 8 days is a long time between death and burial, then and now.

For now, stick with the death place from the obituary (Galewood was a neighborhood in Wyoming Township) and the date from the cemetery record.
