Y-DNA [10 August 2014]
The Howard DNA Project has been running for over 10 years, and has processed about 300 sample kits from male Howards (and several name variants) residing in countries which have access to Y-DNA single tandem repeat testing (predominantly US).
One male-line descendant of Eratus is known to be in this project and has Family Tree DNA test result of haplotype G-P303 (G2a3b1). In this case the line runs through Eratus's posthumous youngest son, Eratus Seth, baptized 8 months and two weeks after his father's December 1832 drowning in the Demorestville mill pond.
