No marriage between Elizabeth Trumbull and John Warner, Jr., is recorded in any published Connecticut vital records. John Warner was published to Elizabeth French of Enfield, 3 November 1722 (Suffield VR); they were married, apparently at Enfield, 22 November 1722 (Enfield VR). No children were recorded to a John Warner between 1718 and 1722 in either Suffield or Enfield. A review of the Suffield VR and Mr. Sikes "Early Suffield Families" finds Elizabeth, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Winchell) Trumbull, to be the only woman of that name available for marriage in Suffield during that period. The most likely scenario seems to be that Elizabeth was published to John Warner, for some reason that marriage did not occur, and she was again published, this time to John Rising, a month later. They married 12 February 1718/19, and Elizabeth died, apparently childless, 13 September 1719.--jaques1724 19:53, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
