Hello Kerbent, could this Elizabeth Hammerton be Elisabeth Hamilton born 21 Oct 1836 in Utrecht, Netherlands? Parents Willem Hamilton and Elisabeth Woltia Haines. Her birth certificate can be found here #1342. I don't have access to records in Australia, but there is a forum post here that states in part "Elizabeth Hammerton married Thomas McCoy 6 Nov 1856 at the School House, Prahran, Victoria. The copy of the cert. is poor, and difficult to read. After careful perusal, details are : Elizabeth Hammerton born in Utrecht, Germany ( now in Holland).
