From Elgate Driskill (2): Driskill family in Greene CO Ohio [8 January 2012]

My line comes from Montilian Gibson Driskill, son of Elgate Driskill, b. 1820 Greene Co Ohio. Elgate was from MD so believe that "Elgin" Driskill of Greene co Ohio is probably the same. My notes say that Elgate married Anna West. I wonder if they had any native American roots? The Driskills were leather workers/saddlers in Maryland...--Mccleaka 08:08, 7 January 2012 (EST)

--GaleB 08:30, 7 January 2012 (EST) I have done a good amount of research on ELGIN Driskill of Greene Co., OH but (so far) found nothing to prove he is the same as ELGATE Driskell of Worcester Co., MD. If you know of someone from this line willing to participate in the DNA project please encourage them to do so, this simple test would provide the proof currently lacking in the paper trail.

Montilian (mountilian) Driskill ended up moving to Holenberg KS after marrying Emily Snowden Ayres. If I find any Driskill men from this line, I'll ask them. Kara--Mccleaka 09:34, 8 January 2012 (EST)
