"Illinois, Cook County Marriages, 1871-1920," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N7DH-642 : accessed 06 Jun 2013), Dick Roelfsema and Mrs Henrietta W Zandstra, 07 May 1919.[1]--henk 05:30, 6 June 2013 (EDT)

"United States Census, 1910", Jacob and Henrika Zandstra (Immigration years don't match, so they must have married in the US.) --Pkeegstra 12:29, 6 June 2013 (EDT)

"Illinois, Cook County Marriages, 1871-1920" Jacob Zandstra and Hendrika Flambeck, 1893

Was this a divorce? Jacob lived until 1941: "Illinois, Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947" Jacob Zandstra, 1941

"United States Census, 1930" Dick and Henrietta Roelfsema (I haven't found Jacob Zandstra Sr in 1930 yet.) --Pkeegstra 15:57, 6 June 2013 (EDT)

Finding Jakob was easy. Finding Hendrika is not proving to be so easy. Would you believe Hendrica Petronella van Sambeek from Escharen, Noord-Brabant? --Pkeegstra 17:45, 7 June 2013 (EDT)

No, not Hendrica van Sambeek. She died in 1937 in Noord-Brabant married to her first husband. --Pkeegstra 17:26, 17 June 2013 (EDT)

Henrietta died 21 Jan 1943, so says the Cook County Death Index from Ancestry, which gives minimal additional information. Derk may have remarried in the following two years, since his death record names his spouse as Grace. --Pkeegstra 18:01, 8 June 2013 (EDT)

Bertha Flambeck who married Jeppe/Eppe Hoogstra was either from Netherlands or Germany. A sister, perhaps? Her daughter got married in Michigan. I see several persons named Flambeck in the Ortsfamilienbucher.

n.b. Jacob Zandstra Jr married Tillie Renkema: "Illinois, Cook County Marriages, 1871-1920" Jacob Zandstra Jr and Tillie Renkema also "Illinois, Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947" Theresa Zandstra, daughter of Jacob Zandstra Jr and Tillie Renkema also "United States Census, 1930" Jacob and Tillie Zandstra --Pkeegstra 17:28, 6 June 2013 (EDT)

FWIW, these Renkemas are connected with my late uncle from Du Page County, IL. --Pkeegstra 17:21, 19 June 2013 (EDT)
