Deborah Church ???? [8 May 2011]

Received the notice that the Deborah, wife of Sylvanus White (16??-1688) was merged into a Deborah White person with three supposed husbands - John Irish in 1667, Sylvanus White in 168? and William Briggs in 1713.

I have significant problems with this mashup:

1) A birth date of 27 Jan 1657 in Hingham is given. Is there a source for this? If so, there must be parents for her - who?

2) The first marriage to John Irish on 22 Mar 1667 - Deborah would be 10 years old. A bit young, don't you think?

3) The second marriage to Sylvanus White - about 1670 is listed...when did John Irish die? Is there a death record, or a probate record for him? A year closer to 1684 for the marriage to Sylvanus White would be more likely.

4) The sketch shows a son Obadiah White born to Sylvanus and Deborah in 1697, even though Sylvanus died before 29 June 1688. And the sketch has Deborah dying in 1690.

5) If Deborah died in 1690, how did she marry William Briggs in 1713?

Maybe you're going to fix these...I hope so!
