How many wives did David have? [26 December 2021]

Hi. Please see the note I left on the page of David Ferguson's second wife Tell (in her 3rd source). I suspect that the Sarah in the 1930 census was actually Tell - see my reasoning in the note. If I'm right, there was no third wife, and the children weren't living with their step-mother in the 1930 census.

If you agree, you should make the pages reflect this (remove the third marriage and references to the "step-mother").

If you disagree, please continue the discussion here. If you have more solid evidence for a third wife (e.g., her death record) you should add it.

Note: I don't have a vested interest in these pages, other than that they should be consistent, because right now, Tell's page shows that she was living with David in the 1930 census. The pages can be left inconsistent as long as there is a discussion explaining why. But if further reflection influences towards a certain conclusion, the pages should probably consistently reflect that.--DataAnalyst 20:21, 26 December 2021 (UTC)

The suggestion has been implemented that the 1930 census rendering of her name was incorrect. Will move forward from there. --ceyockey 23:24, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
