Illigitimate child [13 March 2014]

My name is Niwhai and I am the son of Royal Glenton Maka (Nick). I have been researching my family tree and found that my Great Grandfather - Charles Henry Maka had an illigitamate child (according to his army records which can be viewed at http://www.aucklandmuseum.com/130/cenotaph-database). I found one lead that suggested that this child was a Cyril Maka. I was just wondering if anyone had any information that may help me to fill in the blanks on my family tree? I have been unable to find reliable information on Charles Henrys children, and have been finding various different trees that all suggest different things. Niwhai - 11 September 2011--
