death date [16 December 2014]

I am erasing the death date of 9 Feb 1846 in Hubbardston. There is no source given to justify it, and it is not found in Hubbardston VRs. Somewhat handicapped trying to find it, since no indication if married or not, so the name to search for is not clear. The lack of success in finding this record is necessarily limited to searches for Sherman, though some wildcard searching using various forms of Clara yielded nothing either.

I believe Clara Sherman m. John Browning, and secondly, James Smith of Rutland, dying in 1853, not 1846. Besided the recorded marriages, this is based on John and Clara Browning naming a son Asaph, and a daughter Lucy, as well as daughter Susan's death record giving her mother's maiden name as Clara Sherman of Grafton, where of course, "Clary" was born in 1764. Such a birth would make her an ideal candidate to be the Clara Sherman who m. 1784 John Browning, possibly siblings of the Joseph Browning who married Lucy Sherman. --Jrich 05:44, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
