Are the relationships correct? [5. mar 2023]

Is it certain that the Christen Clausen who married Ellen Knudsdatter was the son of Claus Nielsen and Anna Maria Christiansdatter? The reason I ask is that there is a baptism record for Christen Clausen, son of Claus Njelsen and Anna Mariae Xstensdr on 14 Jun 1738 in Aasted, Hjorring, Denmark, but the same transcribed record (Ancestry.com) says he died 30 Nov 1738. If the husband of Ellen Knudsdatter was the son of Claus and Anna, he would have had to be born 1739 or later, which doesn't appear to match his age in the census record. And I didn't spot a later baptism record for the same name. Alternately, the transcribed baptism/death record could be incorrect.--DataAnalyst 22:47, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi! Yes, the relationships seems legitimate, although there is something dodgy about the birth/baptism record of Christen Clausen from Åsted. The parent-offspring relationship is based on the following: 1. In the probate of Christen Clausen, tenant at St. Haabendal i Aasted sogn, the widow's name is given as "Ellen Knudsdatter" AND the natural guardian of the children under age is given as "father's brother Jens Clausen, Starbakken". 2. This Jens Clausen was born 1745 at Store Haabendal and baptised 11 March that year. His parents - "Claus Nielss og Anna Mariæ Xstensdatters" must also be the parents of Christen Clausen.
