The Amersham address [23 April 2020]

130 Whielden Street, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England. She must have felt awfully land-locked there, given the rest of the addresses in her life. But safe from the bombing that was to come.

Whielden Street is an old street that stretches west from the centre of Amersham Old Town. A flat street in a hilly town. It starts off with many 18th-19th century cottages, but where 130 must have been it has changed to post war housing. This is followed by the local hospital which today is mostly used as an outpatients centre with a end-of-life care wing. The original part of the hospital is 19th century Gothic.

I live about 10 miles away and have had to use the hospital a number of times. --Goldenoldie 11:54, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
