Some discrepancies [14 August 2011]

My Grandfather, Robert Lee Cooper of Parkersburg, WV, left me his research notes on the Price family line of VA. Regarding Charles Price he lists the date of birth as 21Jan1779 rather than the 31st. Also, he lists the date of death as 17May1870. My grandfather's usual custom was to obtain these dates from official records, but a typo is always a possibility. My Grandfather's records indicate that Charles was married twice, first to Margaret D. Leach on 30Dec1809, and secondly to Elizabeth Deem on 10Mar1825. That would make the mother of Charles Prices' first four children Margaret Leach and the mother of the last three children Elizabeth Deem.

According to my Grandfather's typewritten notes, "His death record in Book I, Page 49 of the Wood County Records, states that he was the son of Charles and Evaan Lytle Price and was born in Frederick County, VA. The birthplace matches, but the names of the parents don't.
